The Jekyll and Hyde Photographer

You remember the old story about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde don't you?  Well, if not...  Read a book...

Anyway, Dr. Jekyll was this mild mannered doctor who develops a potion to seperate himself from his darker side but in doing so he started losing control of himself...  this would be Mr. Hyde.  Sometimes photographers find themselves in the same predicament as Dr. Jekyll.  

Photography News Week Ending 09/08/2019

Some camera manufacturers are potentially announcing new flagship cameras. This is likely in preparation for the 2020 Olympics. Sony Alpha Rumors reports the A9 II could be announced within the next couple of weeks while Nikon Rumors reports the D6 will be announced on September 4th.

Leaving Nikon for Sony

For nearly two decades I have shot with the Nikon camera system starting first with slide film back in the early 2000s. Over the years I have been nothing but happy with the cameras I have owned. These include the FM2, F100, D200, D700, D4, D500, and the D850. The list of lenses is actually longer than this. However, the time has come for the sun to set on my time with Nikon.

The Great Smoky Mountains contain sweeping panoramic views of ancient mountains, rushing streams, cascading waterfalls, and old growth hardwood forests. These are each wonderful sites to behold and represent just a hint of the photographic opportunities that await. Come join us as we explore this unique ecosystem with cameras in hand.
