Canon holds the highest percentage of market share among DSLR users though many of their customers are complaining about their lack of innovation or focus on new technologies. During an interview with Nikkei Asian Review Canon was asked what the biggest issue they are currently facing.
Their response was quote:
Our primary management goal this year is to raise our antennas high toward cutting-edge technology. It is on this point where we lag behind other companies. We will open up a research and development center in the U.S.'s Silicon Valley, where we will actively adopt new technology.
Personally I think anytime a company can admit where they fall short then it is a step in the right direction.
Okay all you Canonites out there, what do you think about this admission? Is Canon behind? What do you hope to see from them in the future?
