2018 Ansel Adams Challenge February Winner - Steven Boatwright

When I started the 2018 Ansel Adams Challenge it was to encourage people to get out of the house and create something they may not have otherwise created.  This month's winner is a perfect example of this.  Take a look below and see what Steven had to say about his image:

When I heard Jason mention this challenge on The Nature Photography Show podcast, I realized this would be the perfect reason for me to get out and shoot! Like any normal Saturday, I was heading to my local park. The issue this particular day was snow and tons of it. The park had not yet opened the gates. Since I was already out and about, I drove around and found the back side of the lake. We had lots of rain follow by some snow, this produced some very nasty colored water, but lots of it. I realized that this would make for a good flowing falls and with the snow, lots of contrast. I’ve only been shooting as a hobbyist for about a year and half now. So I tried to stick with the basics, fill the frame with what you like.

Thank you Steven for taking the challenge and I am looking forward to the images you create going forward.  If you would like to see more from Steven check out his Instagram Page HERE.

Okay folks, get out there and make some photographs!
