The Great Smoky Mountains contain sweeping panoramic views of ancient mountains, rushing streams, cascading waterfalls, and old growth hardwood forests. These are each wonderful sites to behold and represent just a hint of the photographic opportunities that await. Come join us as we explore this unique ecosystem with cameras in hand. For me, this is home, it is where I grew up and where I first fell in love with photography. Beth and I will be right there beside you to provide photographic recommendations and instruction.
What is the value of a photographer? What is a good photograph worth to you?
When you seek out a surgeon do you simply find one with a scalpel? Is that the value of that doctor? Is his/her worth tied up in the cost of a single piece of equipment or is it based on the combination of years of training, experience, and equipment?
If someone looks at one of your images and has no idea what the subject is then by all accounts you have failed to convey your message. As photographers it is our job to define the subject of our images. This can be a difficult task, even more so for landscape photographers.
